I love feng shui. I use to check all my important spots in the house at the beginning of every year to refresh the energy in my home. It's time to do it again.
So beautifully reflected. I can relate. When I moved into my house 5 years ago I was so excited to have a lovely office to write in. And it’s a good place for that and Zoom meetings, etc. But I find my favorite “writing studio” is in the living room, sitting with laptop, in my Mom’s pink armchair while gazing at the woods. With my cat for a headrest. Juicy creative spaces presence themselves to us, angels and all! 💖
I love the view from your new office. Changing up rooms can give you new momentum. I think we all need a lot less than we have. My office is cluttered and I need to take notice of less is more.
Love the sense of spaciousness and simplicity with wherever you choose to write. I am adjusting to that long commute by the way! My main traffic jam are the literary support animals. :)

This is wonderful, Deb! How funny that we've both been thinking about this this week! Your view is inspiring – and what I've always pictured as the perfect place to write. (Diane Keaton's writing place in "Something's Gotta Give" – maybe overlooking the Long Island Sound? – was perfection in my eyes.) But over the years I've learned that's lovely, but not essential. When inspiration strikes, all we really need is a keyboard and a card table!

It's funny how I can ignore the clutter for a while...and then all of a sudden I really SEE it, and then I can't see anything else. 😀
