I'm not an affirmation person — saying the words out loud has never quite been my process. But I do have a habit that might be related to what you're describing. Most evenings I replay the day, and I'm regularly surprised by how often I find myself thinking: that went better than I thought it would.

The bigger version of that is when I look at my life now versus ten, twenty, thirty years ago. I'm healthier than I expected to be. In a better relationship than I thought I'd have. More financially secure. The results, across the board, are better than I anticipated. Not perfect — but genuinely better.

I don't know if that's gratitude exactly. It feels more like being surprised by grace. And noticing it seems to matter.

I see more and more reminders that Love holds it all!! Thank you for this beautiful message that says it once again. Love is All in All. Never really fully got that (I don't even now) but I do know that all experiences arrive for our highest good. They fold into each other over time to create the Now we have in this moment. I love being LOVE..... Well said,

Debra!
