Election Peace Challenge Day 5

I have to admit, being out of the country during this last week before the presidential election is a great way to find more peace. Walk into any almshouse or cathedral, and you can easily remember that we are more than our human, anxious selves.

I took this angel photo yesterday at the spectacular cathedral in Wells, the UK’s smallest city. It reminded me of something I wrote a few months into the pandemic in 2020 that has given me a great sense of peace.

So, for this fifth day of our Election Peace Challenge, I’m happy to share these words, with an invitation to do two simple things:

Read and remember.

Earth Angel

Holy child of Spirit,

Remember who you are.

Stand in your grandeur,

Complete and whole,

Comforted and comforter,

Steady and steadfast.

The light of the heavens flows through you,

Filling every cell of your being.

Nothing ever changes this.

Not the insistent voice of your ego,

Not the fears of the world.

Nothing is in you but the Love that created you,

Who you have always been and will always be.

Stand tall in your grandeur.

Release self-doubt and blame,

Judgment and worry.

They are tools of the ego and are too small for your Divine Self.

Remember always the Source of your gifts and joy.

Feel the fluttering of emergence within you.

Look within for the answers you seek.

They are all there,

Ready, waiting, patient for your remembering.

You are the one you are looking for.

Be true to yourself and let all others be blessed in their own grandeur,

Their own connection to Spirit.

You and I are one. Forever and always.

Amen.

Take a deep breath. It’s going to be okay.
