Love this story, Deb. Just signed up for Substack. I am in Florida and missing my cat back in Missouri. Leo is staying with my ex-husband and his wife. So grateful for them watching over him. I share some of your feelings about missing my cat and knowing he is being well cared for. He is close to turning 17 and is not as adaptable as he used to be. Thank you for the story. Pris
Cats are my emotional support animals. Their presence help me calm down and lift up my spirit during the hard times.
I agree...our pets give us a lot of emotional support. They can tell when we need some extra TLC.
Purrfect Words and Purrfect Timing. Love the picture. Thanks Deb!
You're welcome, Julie!
Ah, a journey, indeed.

I love this piece. “Need and knead” formed the germ of one haiku, and “velvet ears” the other.
Thank you for sharing your “cat story” with the IWC. Lill from SOMN
Cats need and knead us,
but only on their timeline -
we whimsily serve!
Cats sport velvet ears,
tempting plump, pink toe beans, which
mask evil intent.
This is so calming, despite your airport adventure. It's bought me a much-needed sense of peace this morning. Thank you, Deb.
You're so welcome, Mary Jo. I'm glad it had that calming effect.
