Sunday morning. Feeling overwhelmed by the world and the fear that seems to be everywhere. And what do I do? Fall right into it.
Sometimes I need a little tough love from my spirit guides, and this morning was one of those times. This is what they told me:
Do you want pain or peace?
If you want peace, then why are you focused on the pain?
You experience what you focus on. So if you focus on the pain, you’re creating more of it. The world doesn’t need more pain, and neither do you.
The chaos in the world is made up of fear. It stems from fear and mirrors fear. Its very building blocks are fear. It’s a low, low vibration energy.
If you’re focused on the pain, you’re matching the vibration of what you’re upset about.
And that feels terrible. You want to be the vibration of peace, but because you’re focused on pain, you’re at the same vibration as the people who seem to be causing the harm.
The true pain is that you’re not operating at your true vibration. You’re letting someone else’s actions determine how you feel. That feels like victimhood. Why? Not because of what someone else is doing, but because you’ve sacrificed your own peace of mind. You’re not being the love you are. Instead you’re being the fear your ego is.
That’s always going to feel awful. And because the ego can’t take responsibility for it, it will always look out in the world and say, “It’s his fault. If he would change, then I could be happy.” You’re giving all your power and presence away.
Being angry and upset about other people’s actions is always a choice, and it’s always a distraction from the peace you could be feeling right now.
The peace that you’re made of.
The peace you know you are.
The peace that’s an expression of your heart and soul.
The peace that actually DOES change the world.
You get to ask yourself:
What fear-based thoughts are creating chaos in my own life?
Where am I holding onto grievances toward myself and others?
What am I feeling guilty about?
How can I love myself more?
Yes, you’re empathic. But don’t use that as an excuse to sacrifice your own joy. Ask for your fear-based thoughts to be healed, choose the love that’s inside of you, rise to a higher vibration, and bring that into your world today.
Moment by moment, you are a creator of peace.
We love you.
If you need help choosing peace instead of pain…

Just what I needed to hear today and to remember every Sunday.
For years, I've started out my Sundays watching CBS Sunday Morning. I always feel inspired and hopeful by the end of that 90 minutes. Lately I've made the mistake of continuing on to watch Face the Nation. The outcome on my mental health of that is never positive. I clicked it off this morning after about 15 minutes and told myself I will not make that mistake going forward. I'm grateful to you and your guides for the affirmation.
